TWU Announces Community Relations Initiative

Sharon Venable
Texas Woman’s University announces the formation of a community relations office. The goal is to ensure that TWU is recognized for its many contributions to the communities it serves throughout Texas. The office will also provide a point of contact with TWU for the community.
A university-wide task force is developing a long-term community relations strategy for TWU. The focus will be on increasing the value of TWU's instruction, enhancing current partnerships and developing new ones, and increasing the university’s visibility in the community. The plan is expected to be completed by early summer.
Members of the task force include:

Dr. Jennifer Martin, Provost's Office
Dr. Jimmy Ishee, Health Sciences
Dr. Ann Staton, Arts and Sciences
Ret. Maj. Gen. Mary Saunders, Leadership Institute
Dr. Monica Mendez Grant, Student Life
